Ousmane Dembele returned to Barcelona training early in a bid to save his career in Spain.

Dembele’s place is under threat from new signings Malcom, who joined from Roma last month.

And Dembele has already been linked with a move away after struggling last term.

Arsenal have been monitoring his situation but he appears keen to nail down his place.
Ramsey to Chelsea

Chelsea are ready to pip Liverpool by making an eve-of-deadline swoop for Arsenal’s £35million-rated Aaron Ramsey, Express Sport understands.

Welsh midfielder Ramsey is in the last year of his Gunners contract and they are ready to sell to finance their own transfer ambitions.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has accepted defeat in his interest in Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, who will head to Tottenham – if they can persuade Villa to sell him – so he can play in the Champions League.

Sarri, who has missed out on several Italian targets, will turn to Ramsey, who is yet to sign a new deal at Arsenal.Unai Emery isn’t anticipating any more arrivals at Arsenal before deadline day.

Emery, who succeeded Arsene Wenger, has already made five signings as Arsenal boss this summer.

But he reckons more players are likely to leave rather than join over the next couple of days.

He said: “My focus is on the first match and preparing, and not for the window and the possibility to sign another player.

“Maybe we need some players to leave because we have lots in the squad, but at the moment, my one focus is on our work.”Arsenal have kicked off their summer clear out by accepting a lowball bid for Lucas Perez.

Sporting Lisbon are trying to sign the Spanish forward but were struggling to come up with the funds.

Perez joined Arsenal for £17m in 2016 and has scored just one goal.

He went out on loan to Deportivo La Coruna last term and looks set for a permanent switch.

Lisbon have offered just £4.4m and Arsenal, according to Portuguese publication A Bola, have now accepted the offer in a bid to clear the decks.
